Arm Aesthetics
Arm Lift Surgery - What is Brachioplasty?
WHY DO ARMS SAG?
Sagging, particularly in the inner and lower areas between the elbow and shoulder, can detract from aesthetic appearance. Rapid weight fluctuations and gravity are common causes of sagging skin on the arms. One of the treatments for these skin folds is arm lift surgery.
HOW IS ARM LIFT SURGERY PERFORMED?
In cases where there is no loss of skin elasticity, liposuction alone may sometimes suffice as a treatment. However, when the skin has expanded beyond a certain level and there is significant loss of elasticity, liposuction alone may not be adequate. In such cases, another arm lift operation involves removing excess skin from the arm area after removing fat from beneath the skin. Failure to tighten the skin above a certain level and even an increase in the sagging appearance of the skin may result. The treatment can be performed under local or general anesthesia. The procedure takes approximately one or two hours, and it may be possible to be discharged on the same day after surgery. After procedures performed under general anesthesia, it may be necessary to stay in the hospital for a day. Depending on the person, it may be possible to return to social life after approximately two days, and after approximately a month, active sports activities can be done.
HOW ARE ARM LIFT SURGERY PRICES DETERMINED?
There are some factors in determining arm lift surgery prices. The quality of the clinic where the surgery will be performed varies in pricing. As in every aesthetic operation, the correct doctor should be chosen for arm lift operations. Additionally, the proportion of sagging in the arm is another factor in determining the price of arm lift surgery. There is a difference in pricing among arm lift surgery methods. The prices of arm lift surgery procedures are not the same as those of liposuction methods (fat removal).
